ChamberPalooza 2024 took place on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Ten musical groups performed, featuring a variety of musicians from around the Greater Cincinnati area. Kids and adults enjoyed our "Instrument Petting Zoo" as Antonio Violins and volunteers from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra let them try a variety of musical instruments. Prizes of free tickets, CDs and more were raffled off three times during the event.
This year, we were proud to present the world premiere composition "Hopeful Green" by Rick Sowash, performed by the students of Peraza Music Workshop. The title quotes Walt Whitman's description of grass: "I think it must be the flag of my disposition, out of hopeful green stuff woven." The music, written in May of 2024, is joyful and optimistic. It was written in the hope that young musicians would love it and play it with passion and enthusiasm. This commissioned world premiere was sponsored by Western & Southern Financial Group. See the video on YouTube here.
