Every year since 2006, except for during the Covid pandemic in 2020-2021, Chamber Music Network has sponsored ChamberPalooza! - a day of free chamber music performed by area musicians at the Cincinnati Art Museum. For the past several years, we have commissioned new works to promote classical music in the Tri-State region.
This year we commissioned a World Premiere piano quartet by Austin Jaquith, composer of concert and film music, as well as a conductor and music professor at Cedarville University, Ohio. Quartet performers were Sonya Szabo-Reynolds, piano, Gayna Mandelbaum Bassin, violin, Rose Reidmiller Gowda, viola, and Michael G. Ronstadt, cello.
The Whirlwinds woodwind sextet also gave a World Premiere for "Queen City Scenes" by Wes Flinn.
